About Us

The national magazine “Tabler” promotes Round Table as a social club with a conscience for men aged 18-45 regardless of their background, occupation and religion. The first Round Table was established in Norwich in 1927, in 1947 the Harrogate “club” was formed.

We are probably best known locally for the November Stray Bonfire, which this year raised just over £10,000. Last year’s Beer Festival raised just over £40,000. We’re hoping to make over £50,000 this year so please drinks lots of beer! The generosity of our sponsors has already covered the cost of the beer so every penny you drink goes straight to charity.

In the last 12 months, we’ve donated money to Horticap, Disability Action Yorkshire, St Michaels Hospice, The Harrogate Homeless Project and the Harrogate Women’s refuge along with a few smaller charities.
Harrogate RT168 is the largest Round Table in the country with just under 40 active members. We meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays of each month, details can usually be found on our website, www.harrogateroundtable.co.uk. The programme is varied and has recently included pot holing and gliding, together with some more sedate activities. In amongst the activities are also the meetings where we discuss the progress of the various fundraising and social activities.

If you want a new angle in your social life, why not give us a try? Introduce yourself to some of our members here at the Beer Festival and come along to a few meetings. If you find you don’t like it, what have you lost?
